Web Design

Web Design is a career interest of mine, and I like to keep my work as varied as possible. The examples on this page hopefully reflect my interest in this field with examples of both formal and informal designs. I am most comfortable working between Photoshop and Dreamweaver (XHTML & CSS), but prefer to hand-code over the program generated code. I find this helps me keep track on how the page is forming!

I have studied different aspects of web design and development, including e-commerce, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and ASP.NET. I have also had exposure to programs including Flash, Fireworks, Erol, Visual Basic and the latest Google tools. My main qualification though is CIW Master Designer.

J.A.B UK

The header is a unique design that developed as the site came together. This was not borrowed from other designers!

Your Turn

Your Turn is an information site about a book written to support First Line Manager training, giving info on the book, author and presenting sample chapters. It also hosts options for contacting support for specific order requests.

The design of the site was based on the look and feel of the book. The request was for the site to be formal and easily navigable whilst having a design that would not feel hostile but attractive to younger users.
